Compost Creative were approached to produce a full cg cinematic game trailer for the new videogame Gord. The film sets an ominous tone and immerses us in the mythology of the game, focussing around one main character performing a ritual prayer in a woodland, featuring a minute of close ups of the full cg protagonist performing his monologue.
I was responsible for the look development and lighting of the main character across all the shot, as well as compositing and grading the whole minute long animation sequence. I additionally contributed to the design and build of the close-up tree environment (involving moss modelling, blood layout, general lookdev), and was responsible for assembling diverse 3d scenes from dedicated artists for the wider environment, character animation, lip-sync, hair, groom and cloth simulation.
